Our tulsi tea is actually a blend of three varieties of tulsi, making it TRI-DOSHIC. In Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine), there are three components to the human metabolism. These components are similar to the elements in classical Greek medicine. In Ayurveda, they are called Doshas. The doshas are: Vana (wind), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (earth). Maintaining a good balance of the three doshas is believed to lead to overall good health and wellbeing. There are also three varieties of tulsi, and each one is considered specifically helpful for each dosha. Vana tulsi supports Vana, Krishna tulsi supports Pitta, and Rama tulsi supports Kapha. A "tri-doshic" blend of the three tulsi varieties, such as the one we provide, is the best choice for maintaining overall well-being. |
